Article Types

InkieAI generates six core article types, each optimized for a different search intent and reader goal. Listicles are numbered collections of tools, tactics, or tips and perform best for high-volume informational queries. Guides are step-by-step tutorials that rank well for problem-solving keywords and tend to earn the most backlinks.

Roundups compare multiple solutions in a single narrative and work well for buyers in the evaluation stage. Versus articles pit two specific products or approaches against each other and capture high-intent comparison traffic. News articles are time-bound summaries of industry developments and are ideal for sites with high publishing velocity. Finally, Explainers break down complex concepts into accessible overviews and serve top-of-funnel educational queries.

You can enable or disable types per site, and the system will weight type selection based on your topic seeds and competitor gaps. For example, if a competitor dominates listicles for a seed, InkieAI may prefer generating a Guide or Roundup to differentiate. Type preferences can be overridden at the individual article level before publishing.
