Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect
We collect Account information (email, name) through Clerk authentication, Website Setup data (domains, business and audience facts, and search markets), and generated Articles and images. We do not collect payment information directly; Polar handles billing.
2. How We Use Information
We use your data to provide the Service: generating articles, publishing to your connected sites, and sending transactional emails. We do not sell or rent your data to third parties.
3. Data Storage
Your data is stored on Neon PostgreSQL databases with encryption at rest. Deleting an Account removes its associated Brands, reports, evidence, content, connected credentials and billing records from our application database. We retain a hashed authentication identity and deletion timestamp to prevent delayed events from recreating a deleted Account. A hashed payment identity is retained for up to 12 months to prevent repeated trials. These records do not contain your email, name or payment details. Anonymous provider cost measurements remain after Account references are removed. A subscription identifier and cancellation request time may remain until the billing provider confirms cancellation.
4. Third-Party Services
We use Clerk for authentication, Polar for billing, Trigger.dev for background jobs, and OpenRouter for AI model access. Each has their own privacy policy and security practices.
5. Inkie in ChatGPT
If you connect Inkie to ChatGPT, you sign in with your Inkie account and allow read access. Clerk gives ChatGPT an access token for that access, along with your name and email address so ChatGPT can show which account is connected. Inkie never sees your ChatGPT password or your conversations.
When you ask ChatGPT about Inkie, ChatGPT sends only what the request needs, such as which Brand or buyer question to read. Inkie returns that Brand's details, weekly briefings, saved AI answers with their sources, and recommended improvements, and never data from another Account. We use these requests only to answer them, and we don't save them. The results become part of your ChatGPT conversation, which OpenAI handles under its own privacy policy.
The connection lasts until you remove Inkie from ChatGPT's plugins or delete your Inkie Account. To cut off access on Inkie's side as well, contact ray@inkieai.com and we will revoke it.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication (Clerk) and analytics (PostHog). We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
7. Your Rights
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting ray@inkieai.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
8. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS, encrypted database connections, and secure API key storage. However, no system is 100% secure.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy periodically. We will notify users of significant changes via email.
