Writing Brand Summaries
The Brand Summary and Audience Description fields are the most important inputs for controlling tone, vocabulary, and perspective in generated articles. A good brand summary is 2-4 sentences describing your company, what you build, and why it matters. Avoid generic marketing speak. Be specific: mention your industry, your core value proposition, and any stylistic constraints like "we never use exclamation points" or "we always cite primary sources."
The Audience Description should define who is reading. Include job titles, experience levels, and what they are trying to accomplish. For example: "Senior backend engineers evaluating infrastructure tools" will produce drastically different output than "Small business owners looking for marketing tips." The more precise you are, the less editing you will need to do later.
You can update these fields at any time, and changes apply to the next scheduled run. If you manage multiple sites, each site maintains its own brand and audience profile. We recommend reviewing generated drafts against your summaries weekly and refining the inputs based on what still feels off.
