The best Peec AI alternatives in 2026 are Otterly.AI, Profound, AthenaHQ, Rankscale, SE Visible, Scrunch, HubSpot AEO and InkieAI. Which one fits depends on why you want to leave Peec:
- Otterly.AI for the lowest entry price, from $29 a month.
- HubSpot AEO if you already run on HubSpot, at $50 a month.
- SE Visible for the most questions near $100: 200 prompts for $99, without Perplexity.
- Rankscale for many engines on a schedule you set, from $99 on Pro.
- Profound or AthenaHQ for enterprise breadth and AI agents that work on content.
- Scrunch for larger brands heading toward an enterprise contract, from $250.
- InkieAI for five engines on every plan, with the content written and checked for you, from $99.
I make InkieAI, one of the eight, so weigh my view of it accordingly. I read every vendor's pricing page on October 24, 2026. I did not test any of these tools hands-on.
What is Peec AI, and how much does it cost?
Peec AI is an AI search analytics tool from Berlin, founded in 2025. You give it the prompts your buyers type into AI assistants, and it checks daily how the models answer: whether your brand shows up, who shows up instead, and which sources the answers lean on. It collects most answers by scraping the chat interfaces rather than calling each model's API.
These are Peec's plans as of October 2026, from its pricing page and its AI instructions page.
| Plan | Monthly price | Annual, per month (independent check) | Prompts | Projects | Each extra model |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $95 | $80 | 50 | 1 | $35 a month |
| Pro | $245 | $205 | 150 | 2 | $85 a month |
| Advanced | $495 | $420 | 350 | 5 | $165 a month |
| Enterprise | Custom, billed annually | Custom | Not listed | Not listed | Not listed |
Peec's page says annual billing saves about 15%. Its prices load in the browser, and the annual figures above come from independent checks on October 20, 2026, not from Peec itself. Every self-serve plan includes 3 models of your choice, daily tracking and unlimited users. Advanced adds multi-country tracking and Looker Studio. Agency plans cost $245 a month with 10,000 credits, $495 and $795.
The 3-model rule
Peec names ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Perplexity, Gemini and Microsoft Copilot as its engines. Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, Qwen, Mistral and others come as upgrades or on Enterprise. On a self-serve plan you pick 3, and each one beyond that is an add-on at the price in the table.
What Peec measures and recommends
Peec runs a source gap analysis, which shows the sources AI cites for your competitors and not for you. It checks whether AI crawlers can reach your pages, reads your server logs for crawl insights, covers AI shopping results, and offers an API and MCP access.
Its recommended actions fall into four groups: your own pages, editorial coverage, reference sites and user-generated content. Peec says it "does not write or publish content itself". That's a deliberate choice, and it largely decides whether Peec suits you.
Peec also publishes research. Its March 2026 study with Wix Studio's AI Search Lab found "alternatives" pages like this one made up 0.29% of 1,056,727 AI citations, and listicles 21.9%. It's vendor research.
When Peec AI is still the right choice
Plenty of teams should stay. Peec suits you if most of these are true:
- You want daily data, and your own team will act on it.
- Many people need access. Peec's self-serve plans have unlimited users, while Scrunch Core allows 5 and Semrush charges $99 per extra user license.
- You care which sources the models cite. The source gap analysis and crawl insights go further than most trackers at this price. My guide to AI crawlers and robots.txt explains what those logs show.
- You run an agency and want agency plans.
- You want the data in other tools through the API, MCP or Looker Studio.
- Three engines cover the places your buyers ask.
Peec Starter checks 50 prompts on 3 models daily, about 4,500 answers a month for $95. Of the alternatives below, only SE Visible and Rankscale offer more answers for about the same money.
Why teams look for a Peec AI alternative
Five engines cost extra
Many teams want ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode tracked together. On Peec that's 3 included models plus 2 add-ons. At Peec's add-on prices, Starter goes from $95 to $165 a month, Pro from $245 to $415 and Advanced from $495 to $825.
For comparison, Otterly.AI Lite covers six engines for $47 a month with its Gemini and AI Mode add-ons, though for 15 prompts. InkieAI includes those five on every plan, and AthenaHQ includes 11 models from $295.
Nobody writes the content
Peec's recommended actions still need someone to write the page, pitch the editor or answer the forum thread. If your team lacks that person, the recommendations wait. I also found nothing on Peec's pricing or AI instructions pages about checking that a change went live, so you'd track that yourself.
Budget and breadth
$95 a month is Peec's floor. At the other end, Claude, Grok and DeepSeek come as upgrades or on Enterprise, so teams that need many engines under one contract compare Profound, AthenaHQ and Scrunch Enterprise.

The 8 Peec AI alternatives, one by one
Otterly.AI
Otterly.AI Lite costs $29 a month ($25 billed annually) for 15 prompts checked daily on ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot. Gemini and AI Mode cost $9 a month each on Lite, $59 on Standard and $149 on Premium. Claude costs $29, $109 or $439. Standard is $189 ($160 billed annually) for 100 prompts and adds API, MCP and Agent Analytics. Premium is $489 ($422 billed annually) for 400 prompts.
Every plan has unlimited team members, GEO audits, a crawlability audit and recommendations. There's a free trial. Otterly is far cheaper to start than Peec and has no 3-engine cap. But 15 prompts is a thin sample, and it writes no content. It's for solo marketers and small teams on a small budget. More in Otterly.AI pricing and alternatives.
Profound
Profound no longer shows a self-serve plan. Its pricing page lists a free 7-day trial, with 50 prompts daily on ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews and no history, exports or API. Then comes a custom Enterprise plan with up to nine engines, including Claude, Copilot, DeepSeek and AI Mode, plus ChatGPT Shopping, all-time history, CSV and JSON exports, an API, SSO/SAML and SOC 2.
Sources conflict on price. Round-ups published in 2026, including HubSpot's of October 23, still list a $99 Starter and a $399 Growth plan, but Profound's own page no longer shows them. Profound does what Peec won't: its AI Marketer agent researches, writes and reports. The trade-off is no public price. It's for enterprise teams with a budget and a security review to pass.
AthenaHQ
AthenaHQ counts usage in credits, one credit per AI response. The free Essential tier gives 300 credits, worth $25, on five engines. Starter costs $295 a month for 3,600 credits across 11 models, with unlimited topics, prompts and competitors. Annual billing takes 17% off, and the API and extra credits cost more.
AthenaHQ beats Peec on models and on action: on-page and off-page actions, a content optimization agent, and GA4 and Search Console integration. Checking every prompt on all 11 models daily, 3,600 answers a month covers fewer than 11 prompts. It's for teams that want broad coverage and suggested content changes, at about three times Peec Starter's price.
Rankscale
Rankscale Pro costs $99 a month for 1,200 credits, enough for up to 4,800 answers, with 10 brand dashboards and a 7-day free trial. Essentials costs $20 a month ($17 billed yearly) and is sold yearly only. Pro+ costs $229, Growth $385 and Enterprise $780.
You pick engines and timing, from hourly to monthly, across ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Mode, AI Overviews, Gemini, DeepSeek, Mistral, Claude, Copilot and more. Most engines cost 0.25 credits an answer, and Claude and DeepSeek cost more. At 0.25 each, Pro covers about 32 questions checked daily on five engines. Rankscale adds recommendations it calls Scout, page audits, MCP and Looker Studio. The cost per question is yours to work out. It's for SEO practitioners who want control over engines and schedules.
SE Visible
SE Visible, from SE Ranking, gives the most prompts per dollar here. Basic starts at $99 a month for 200 prompts, about 30,000 answers a month and 3 projects. Core starts at $189 for 450 prompts, and Plus at $355 for 1,000. Annual billing takes 20% off, with a 10-day free trial.
It checks ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Mode and AI Overviews daily through the browser interface, and says Claude "will be added soon". It reports data, sources and sentiment, and has an API. That's four times Peec Starter's prompts for about the same price, but no Perplexity and no content writing. It's for SEO teams who want many questions tracked on Google and ChatGPT.
Scrunch
Scrunch Core costs $250 a month for 125 prompts and 5,000 responses a month on ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews and Copilot. It includes 5 site audits, 1 page optimization a month, basic content generation and 5 users, with a 7-day free trial. Enterprise is custom and adds Claude, Gemini, Meta AI, AI Mode and Grok, plus its Agent Experience Platform (AXP), an API and SSO.
Scrunch acts a little where Peec doesn't. But Core lacks Gemini and AI Mode, allows 5 users to Peec's unlimited, and doesn't state how often it checks. It's for larger brands that expect to grow into an enterprise contract.
HubSpot AEO
HubSpot AEO costs $50 a month ($45 billed annually) after a 28-day free trial with no card. Per HubSpot's knowledge base, it runs 25 prompts daily on ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini and reports visibility, sentiment, competitor share of voice and citations, with prioritized recommendations. It's included in Marketing Hub Professional and Enterprise.
It costs about half of Peec Starter, and HubSpot customers may already have it. It tracks half as many prompts, and neither Google AI Overviews nor AI Mode. It's for teams already on HubSpot.
InkieAI
InkieAI is the tool I make. Inkie checks ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode on every plan. It records whether each answer names your brand, recommends it or cites a page you own, and who appears instead. It turns the gaps into four kinds of work: new articles or pages, edits to existing pages, website fixes such as crawler access, and outside sources AI already cites.
You approve the plan and the finished copy before Inkie publishes to WordPress, Ghost, Contentful or a signed webhook. For existing pages it gives exact edits for you to apply, since it never edits a live site. It then checks the work is live, re-checks the affected questions and reports what changed, without claiming it caused the change.
Start costs $99 a month ($79 billed annually) for 1 brand, 30 questions checked weekly and up to 10 new articles or pages a month. Grow costs $299 ($239 billed annually) for 3 brands and 100 questions checked every 3 days. Scale costs $499 ($399 billed annually) for 10 brands and 300 questions. Details are on the pricing page.
The limits are real. Start checks weekly where Peec checks daily, and tracks 30 questions to Peec's 50. Inkie doesn't track Claude, Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek or Meta AI, and has no agency features. It's new, founded in 2026, and I run it alone from Stockholm. It's for small teams that lack the hours to act on what a tracker shows.
Also consider: Semrush, Ahrefs and Writesonic
The Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit costs $99 a month with no free trial, for 25 prompts tracked daily. Ahrefs Brand Radar includes 5 daily custom prompts on Ahrefs Lite, with packages from €47 a month as shown from Sweden. Both make the most sense if you already pay for them. Writesonic Starter costs $79 a month billed annually for 50 prompts on ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews, plus 15 AI-written articles a month.
Peec AI vs Profound
Peec and Profound differ on how you buy and on who does the work.
| What differs | Peec AI | Profound |
|---|---|---|
| Entry price | $95 a month, self-serve | Custom, Enterprise only |
| Engines | 3 you choose; more as add-ons or on Enterprise | Trial: 3. Enterprise: up to 9 |
| Prompts at entry | 50, daily | Trial: 50, daily for 7 days |
| Content | Recommended actions; writes no content | AI Marketer agents research, write and report |
| Data access | API and MCP | Enterprise: CSV and JSON exports, API. Trial: none |
Pick Peec if you want to start this week on a card and your team will do the work. Pick Profound if you need nine engines, SSO and SOC 2 under one contract and want an agent to write. If Profound's price is the problem, my guide to Profound alternatives covers cheaper options.
How to choose a Peec AI alternative
Match the engines to your buyers
List the assistants your buyers use, then check each entry plan against that list. SE Visible has no Perplexity, HubSpot AEO has no Google AI features, and Scrunch Core has no Gemini or AI Mode. Rankscale and AthenaHQ cover the most models. If price is the main issue, Otterly.AI at $29 and HubSpot AEO at $50 are fine for a first look, but 15 or 25 prompts is thin for decisions.
Decide who does the work
Look past the word "recommendations". Ask whether the tool writes the content, publishes it, and checks that the change went live. Profound acts on an enterprise contract and AthenaHQ from $295. Scrunch Core includes one page optimization a month, Writesonic writes articles, and InkieAI writes, publishes after approval and re-checks. The work itself is the same whatever you pick, and my guide on how to get cited by ChatGPT walks through it.
Weigh frequency against question count
AI answers vary from run to run. In a SparkToro study with Gumshoe.ai, an AI tracking vendor, there was less than a 1 in 100 chance that ChatGPT or Google's AI returned the same brand list twice in 100 runs. So judge presence across many runs. Fifty questions checked daily give about 1,500 runs per engine a month, and thirty checked weekly give about 130. That's a real point for Peec over InkieAI's Start plan.
Before you pay for anything, check what ChatGPT says about you today. Inkie's free AI visibility report runs 5 buyer questions across all five services, with no card.
How to switch from Peec without losing your baseline
Your Peec history is your baseline. Save it before you cancel.
- Export your history. Peec lists API and MCP access on its AI instructions page, so you can pull results per prompt and model, or use a CSV export if your plan has one. Note the countries and languages you tracked.
- Copy your prompt list word for word into the new tool.
- Run the same questions in both tools for a few weeks. Tools collect answers differently: Peec scrapes the chat interface for most engines, SE Visible uses the browser interface, and others don't say. Expect different numbers even on the same day.
- Compare shares over the whole period, not day by day. In Envoyra's October 2026 data, 79% of question and assistant pairs changed their brand list at least once across four weekly runs. Envoyra also sells AI tracking.
- Cancel Peec once both trend lines tell the same story, or once you understand why they don't.
Frequently asked questions
Who are Peec AI competitors?
Peec AI's main competitors are Profound, Otterly.AI, AthenaHQ, Rankscale, SE Visible, Scrunch, HubSpot AEO and InkieAI, plus the AI tracking in Semrush, Ahrefs Brand Radar and Writesonic. They differ most on which engines the entry plan covers and on whether the tool writes content or only tracks.
What is Peec AI used for?
Peec AI tracks how ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google's AI features and other assistants answer the prompts your buyers type, checked daily. It shows whether your brand appears, which sources the answers cite, and how AI crawlers reach your site. It recommends actions but says it does not write or publish content.
How much does Peec AI cost per month?
As of October 2026, Peec AI costs $95 a month on Starter, $245 on Pro and $495 on Advanced, with Enterprise priced on request. Each plan includes 3 models, and an extra model costs $35, $85 or $165 a month. Annual billing saves about 15%; independent checks put it at $80, $205 and $420 a month.
Is Peec AI legit?
Yes. Peec AI is a Berlin company founded in 2025. By its own account, it has raised about $29 million, including a $21 million Series A in November 2025, and has more than 3,000 customers.
Does Peec AI track Perplexity?
Yes. Peec lists Perplexity among its engines, alongside ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Overviews, AI Mode and Copilot. On self-serve plans Perplexity counts as one of your 3 models, so tracking it with ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Overviews and AI Mode means paying for two extra models.
