A two-minute test to see what AI says when buyers compare you to your closest rival.
Hey,
You already know the question. Buyers ask it on sales calls, in support chats, probably this week: "you vs. [that one competitor] for [use case]". Most founders know the exact phrasing by heart and still haven't written the page that answers it.
Here's the two-minute test. Write down that exact comparison question, the one you hear most often. Then open ChatGPT or Perplexity and ask it word for word.
Watch what comes back. You might be named but not recommended, lumped in as "also consider." You might be absent entirely, with the answer built only from your competitor's content and a few review sites.
Either result just means there's a gap in your comparison content. It doesn't prove that filling it will change what the model says next, but it tells you the question is live and currently being answered without you.
The usual response is to avoid the topic, worried that naming a competitor sends business away. The faster move is to write a short, sourced page this week: 150 words that cite real differences, link to actual docs or pricing, and say plainly when your competitor is genuinely the better fit. Make sure it's readable, publish it, then check back in a few weeks to see if it shows up in the same question.
Writing one honest page is a day's work. Doing that consistently and tracking whether your answers actually get picked up over time is the part that's easy to let slide. That's the gap InkieAI was built to help close.
